Spotlight: PJ Slingerland - New Campus Manager
12th May 2009
We would like to congratulate PJ on recently being appointed the new Campus Manager of SAE Institute Byron Bay. PJ takes the place of Florian Staerk who will become the new National Manager. PJ commenced his SAE journey back in 1992 when he began studying the Diploma of Audio at SAE Amsterdam, in the Netherlands.
After completing his course, and working in the pro-audio industry for 4 years, PJ was employed by SAE as a supervisor, a lecturer and eventually Amsterdam’s campus manager before moving out to Australia in 2004. Since arriving in Australia, PJ has had the role of audio lecturer, head of the audio department and Academic Coordinator, before landing the position of Campus Manager.
For 13 years, PJ has experienced SAE Institute from many different aspects and angles and we are sure his thorough knowledge of the organisation will be a huge asset. PJ who self-professedly “loves a good challenge”, said he looks forward to taking on the new position.
“I have been involved with SAE now for almost two decades. Working my way up from being a student to becoming a manager, I feel I have learnt quite intimately how things run. I love how dynamic the organisation is, and I feel as though this is a great chance to test myself and rise to the challenge I have been presented with.”
We are sure PJ will do a fantastic job as Byron Bay’s campus manager and we wish him all the best in his new and exciting role.
